Statement of the Embassy of the I.R. Iran in Vienna regarding the recent developments in Palestine

1.        75  years ago, amid murder and aggression, a fake apartheid regime begun its disgraceful life with full support of the so-called preachers of human rights in the WEST. From the beginning of its illegitimate creation, the identity of the fabricated Israeli regime has been associated with genocide, apartheid, war crimes, crimes against humanity and sinister history of having weapons of mass destruction and nuclear arsenals. This regime is attempting to conceal its destabilizing, malicious and terrorist activities in the region. Dozens of UN resolution have condemned the systematic violation of international law and the continuation of flagrant defiance of basic human rights and humanitarian law by the Israeli regime while the Western and European governments have been fully supporting the Israeli’s brutalities and its war crimes which is continuing these days too, thus embolden such regime to continue to commit its crimes with impunity. This has led to conclude that the West is abetting and aiding commission of such heinous crimes thus being accomplice to that criminal with its dark record. It also shows that human rights and international law are nothing but a tool in their political toolbox misusing them for short-sighted objectives.
2.      Al -Aqsa Storm operation is the spontaneous independent move by the resistance groups and the Palestinian nation in defense of their inherent rights. The Palestinian actions are a legitimate defense against the seven decades of oppressive occupation and atrocious crimes of the illegitimate Israeli regime. The full support of the West and the silence and inaction of the international community have left no other option for the Palestinians other than to resist and rely on their own inherent strength to put an end to the Israeli occupation and prevent from more international crimes against Palestinians. The continued desecration of the Islamic holy places and the first Qibla of Muslims by the extremist and racist settlers in recent months, on the one hand, and the continuation of the Zionist regime's policy of killing and crimes and aggression against the people of Palestine, especially women, children and prisoners, on the other hand, are the root cause of the current situation.

 

3.  3. The Islamic Republic of Iran reaffirms the inherent and legal right of Palestinians to defend themselves against the brutalities and heinous crimes of the Israeli regime. We hold the occupying regime and its supporters responsible for the continuation and escalation of violence and atrocities against Palestinians. The claims made by the Israeli regime and some of its supporters against Iran are nothing but an obvious projection and a clumsy attempt to cover up their massive international crimes. We invite the supporters of that regime to take clear stance and vigorous actions against the ongoing daily brutalities of the Israeli regime against innocent people of Palestine.
