Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Visit to the Slovak Republic

Dr. Majid Takht-Ravanchi, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, visited Bratislava on April 9, 2025, at the invitation of his Slovak counterpart, Mr. Mark Stock, to hold a new round of political consultations between the two countries.

During the meeting, the two parties exchanged views on a wide range of bilateral relations issues, as well as the latest regional and international developments. The two officials also emphasized the determination of their governments to expand and strengthen bilateral relations in various fields based on mutual respect and common interests.

During this visit, a supplementary agreement on the avoidance of double taxation between the two countries was also signed by the deputy foreign ministers of the two countries.

During his visit, Mr. Takht Ravanchi also met with Mr. Marian Kerry, Chairman of the Foreign Policy Committee of the Slovak National Council, and exchanged views on expanding and strengthening parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.
